Your role:

Loora is the first-ever personal AI English tutor, always available to talk about whatever you want, give you immediate feedback, and guide you on your journey to fluency.

We are looking for an NLP Applied Researcher to join our growing core team!

Our innovative and unique consumer experience relies heavily on state-of-the-art NLP algorithms in domains such as text generation, dialogue, question answering, grammar correction, and knowledge-grounded LMs.

You will lead projects from research to production, solving real-world problems while pushing the limits of conversational AI. Join us now to truly impact the product we’re building!

Your day-to-day will be:

Conduct applied research in NLP and Conversational AI.
Develop new conversational AI use cases in collaboration with the product team.
Modify and optimize Loora’s current dialogue model.
Stay up to date with the latest research that could improve Loora’s product.

Requirements:

MSc / PhD in Natural Language Processing or a related field.
Publications at workshops or conferences such as ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, ICML, ICLR, NeurIPS.
2+ years of work experience building production Machine Learning systems.
2+ years experience with PyTorch, Tensorflow, or similar.
Strong coding skills.

Experience with open-domain dialogue.
Experience bringing academic research to industry applications.
A passion for learning languages.
